For many years I was not able to sleep well. I would sleep for eight, nine, ten hours a night but I would toss and turn and wake up feeling lousy. In the morning no matter how long I slept I would not feel well rested. I had no idea at the time that allergy pillows would end up changing my life.
I did not know it at the time, but I was suffering from allergies. I do not mean the kind of allergies you get from eating peanuts or strawberries. At least with those you can tell what is making you sick and you can figure out not to eat it anymore. No, I was allergic to dust mites and I didn’t know it!
Dust mites are tiny bugs that live in your bed. No, seriously, they are in your bed, on your pillow, in your clothing, and sitting in the dust on your book shelves. It does not mean you’re unclear or can’t keep your house. Everyone has them, and they are too small to see. It’s hard to do anything to completely eliminate them, but for most people it doesn’t matter because they usually don’t cause any kind of harm. If you have an allergy to them, however, they get in your system when you lay down on your bed at night. You breathe in their allergen and soon it triggers your symptoms.
Once I started using allergy pillows my problems were solved. I no longer had dust mites getting in my system when I slept at night. I noticed an immediate difference in my quality of sleep. I’m so glad I made the switch!
